As a Finance Officer, my main responsibilities in managing inventory and procurement include overseeing the budgeting and financial planning for purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices, and monitoring inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts. I work closely with the procurement and warehouse teams to analyze spending, track inventory turnover, and ensure that procurement aligns with financial policies and company objectives.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience in finance, I’ve built a strong foundation in credit control, debtors and creditors management, job costing, and full-function financial coordination. My roles across both corporate and SME environments have prepared me to handle complex financial operations, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and streamline processes for efficiency. I’ve worked with a range of accounting systems such as SAP, Pastel, Syspro, and ACCPAC, which has helped me adapt quickly in diverse financial settings. Additionally, my leadership experience – such as supervising teams and implementing financial controls – has equipped me to confidently fulfill the responsibilities of a Finance Officer
