Buraaq Mining takes on first apprentice
The Buraaq Mining Apprenticeship Programme kicked off in 2019 with the first apprentice, Israaeel Rahman embarking on a four-year journey to become a qualified electrician.
Israaeel completed his Grade 12 National Senior Certificate at the end of 2018 and has immediately started his practical work experience training at Buraaq Mining. His first block of theoretical training will start at the beginning of March.
The goal is to expand the Apprenticeship Programme significantly based on the revenue of the business, thereby providing South Africans with the opportunity of skills development.
