Sans has started his career at the tender age of eighteen landing himself an apprenticeship at New Vaal Colliery and CTC (Colliery training college) There was no stopping him from then as he would spend the next twenty five years in the engineering and mining field from artisan to global development manager.
Worked as an artisan at New Vaal Colliery, then joined Sandvik as a field service technician and later moved as a Ground Engaging Tools Specialist. Joined ESCO as a Development Manager and then Khulong Mining as General Manager. Sans has devoted much of his time on the job where he has been involved in earth moving machinery rebuilds and refurbishment of major components. He has lead a team of experts on the fabrication and refurbishment of buckets and bowels adding value for rand per ton across many mining group’s.
Sans holds a Diploma in Welding Inspection from SAIW (South African Institution of Welding ) and is well known for his expertise in welding and structural failure on trackless mining and structural equipment, he has been called a pond from all corners of the globe to inspect, report and make recommendations on his findings of failure on equipment.
Safety, Quality and turn around time is his ultimate goal.
